Zyab Ayesha Passah, CEO of XYZ Agency and organiser of the Miss Africa Queen, has informed this paper that the proposed Miss Africa Queen 2008 competition scheduled for September in The Gambia has been postponed.

CEO Passah told the Daily Observer that they had worked towards this event but later realised that, it was not going to be possible to have it in The Gambia this yeardue to series of events in the country, which makes the timing very uncomfortable.

She further revealed that, a local organising committee is set up to start planning for the event to be stage in The Gambia on 13th June, 2009. She recalled that during her previous visits to The Gambia, she met President Jammeh, who pledged his support and requested that the event be held in The Gambia.

Zyab Ayesha Passah is expected to return back to Ghana today, April 15th.
