Boost for CRR police

The police in the Central River Region recently received four new motorbikes from police headquarters in Banjul.

The governor for CRR Alhagie Ganjie Touray handed over the motorbikes to the commissioner of police Momodou Jobarteh

In his handing over speech, governor Ganjie Touray commended President Jammeh for providing the police with motorbikes.  He further stated that this will contribute immensely in the reduction of crime zate in the region.

He spoke at length on the interest government shown in the security of the country he noted that the motorbikes will complement and facilitate their fundition effectively.

He called on the people of CRR to support the police in their work, noting that they are there to protect their lives and properties.  He advised the ziders of the motorbikes to take good care of the motorbikes.  He thanked the inspector general of police for deploying police intervention unit officers in Kaur and Njan.  Governor Touray appealed for more motorbikes, adding that CRR is large.

The regional police commissioner Momodou Jobarteh express his stisfaction over the arrival of the motorbikes. He opined that the provision of the motobikes will go a long way in supplemting the effective functions of the police officers especially with regard, to cattle rustling armed robbery and traffic related matters within the region.  He said the four motorbikes has been distributed, the south.  He thanked governor Touray for his unflinching support to the secint personnel in the region.
