A  project worth half a million dalasis, involving the construction of a new auditorium, was on Saturday inaugurated at the Calvary United Community Church (CUCC) in kanifing south.

The ceremony which  attracted over hundreds of worshippers, amongst them pastors and Reverends from various christian denominations across the country. A special prayer on the theme 'Arise and Shine' was held.

Speaking at the ceremony, Pastor Bidwell Mendy, one of the founding fathers of the (CUCC) said the church started with only nine members on December 20,2003 at Latri kunda.

According to pastor Mendy, membership continued to increased on daily bases. "With the divine intervention of our God, we have been  able to inugurate this auditorium.

He hailed the effort of their landlord for allowing the church to be built in his compound, and he also acknowledged the efforts of  their donor's  in the USA and UK towards the completion of the project.

He thanked their guest speaker, Evanglist Keith Nix, from the Unitd Stated of  America, for honouring their invitation.

Speaking earlier on, Elder M.S Pearce thanked the worshippers for answering to their call. The ceremony was chaired by Lawrence B Jah.
