Defence applied stay of prosecution

Lamin Camara, defence counsel for Manlafi Sayang,former head of Government vehicle control unit at State House, and Bakary Camara last Friday May 16th applied for a stay of prosecution before the senior magistrate, Kayode Olajubutu of Banjul Magistrates Court.

Lamin Camara, counsel for the two  accused persons currentlly facing charges of stealing a Government vehicle, informed the court of his intention to make  his  application  on the  points of law with regards to the recent court ruling on no case submission delivered by the senior magistrate. 'I am applying for a stay of prosecution till the next adjourned date.
 
Kayode Olajubutu granted application of the defence counsel and adjourned the case to 19th May 2008 for continuation.
