Health post inaugurated at Santanto in Upper Fulladu

The Governor for CRR Alh. Ganyie Touray recently inaugurated Santanto health post.  The health post was funded by LIF and Janjangbureh area council at a tune of one hundred and twenty-nine thousand (D129,000).

I his inaugural address, governor Ganyie Touray thank the funding agents for their gestime. He further spoke at length on the importance of health, noting that it is part of president Jammeh's development agenda providing health facility at the door step of every Gambian.  He pointed out that this health post will significantly improve the health status of women and children in Santanto and Chirter Village.

The national assembly member Hon. Muhammeh M.S Jallow commended their genersity.  He said provision of this health post will go a long way Janjangbureh in complementing government efforts in improving the health status of rural people.  He called on his people to make the best use of this health facility and to ensure proper up-keep of the facility.

The CEO of JAC Yusupha Manneh said the project was a community initiature project started by LIF.  He further disclused that his council completed the project at a time of seventy-five thousand dalasis.  He opined that the provision of this health port to the community of sentanto will increase access to health services to rural community and will reduce the infant mortality rate.  He ehurdated that the health talks deluered every (RCH) day will help to raise community awareness on health issues that affect their lives.
