Youth MattersYouth Matters - Long Vision for Gambian Youths![]() Friday, May 02, 2008 Mr Simon Taru ECOWAS/YDCS Director Mr Simon Taru the director of the ECOWAS/YDCS has praised the Gambia government for what he described as their long vision for youths. He noted that it was based on this consideration that the ECOWAS /YDCS requested from the ECOWAS commission to give them enough resources to make Gambia the host of the forthcoming youth training programme on agri-business. Mr Taru made these remarks on Monday at the preparatory meeting for the forthcoming regional youth training programme on agri-business, to be hosted at the NYSS Nyaniberi farm in Brikama. The meeting was held at the Independence Stadium conference hall in Bakau. He further congratulated the Gambia government, on behalf of the ECOWAS commission, for their effort towards developing the Gambian youth, in terms of employment opportunity creation, singling out the significant role being played by the formidable institution of NYSS.
