New classroom blocks inaugurated

School 4 School in collaboration with Maintenance Management Ltd ( both UK based organisations) inaugurated, on Saturday, two classroom block for Jalamang Nursery school, in Jalamang village, Western Region.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony Mr Modou Jobe, project manager said that the sponsors will provide learning materials such as uniforms, books, pen, pencils to the students. The project will also covers the salaries of teachers.  "All we need is for you to encourage your childrens to go to school and teach them to be disciplined"  he noted.

He also adviced the people of Jalabang village to take care of the building as it was not a easy project. He added that the school has already enrolled one hundred and thirtheen children. ''It cost them four hundred and sixty thousand to construct the school,'' he said.

For his part Mr Pollin Harrison, on behalf of MML in UK,  thanked the people of Jalabang village for the warm welcome."This building makes us think about a family.

The family has a foundation, and the foundation helps us build a relationship between us and you," he stated in poignant tone.

Njoba Bah, Alkalo of the village, thanked the donors for their timely gesture and urged parents to encourage their childrens to go to school.
