D50,000 bail for accused

Principal magistrate Buba Jawo of Kanifing Magistrates Court has granted a court bail of D50,000 and a Gambian surety to one Malick Oko Drammeh, following his plea of guilty on two charges of breaking and sealing.

According to the prosecution, Mr Drammeh on May 5 at Dippa Kunda, broke and entered the dwelling house of one Joseph Gomez. Count two revealed that the accused on the same day and place, stole 15 T-shirts valued at D4,200, eight trousers valued at D2,625, a travelling bag valued at D400 and a sports shoe valued at D200.

The prosecution then applied for an adjournment to enable him call in witnesses. The case was then adjourned to June 16.
