Kassa Kunda LBS boosted

Nyodema Yiriwa Kaffo in Brikama town recently donated furniture, worth over D20,000, to Kassa Kunda lower basic school in Kombo Central, Western Region.

Nyodema Yiriwa kaffo, a chariatable organisation based in Brikama town, is devoted to upgrading the living standard of people by providing them with the necessary skills and materials.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony, the president of Nyodema yiriwa kaffo, Mr Kujabie, outlined some numerous donations his organisation had done. He disclosed that the latest donation was made possible through their British counterpart, a couple, Alison and Eric Wilson.  

Mr Bakary Touray, head master of Kassa Kunda lower basic school, for his part, thanked the donors for their gesture. He assured them that the donated materials would be put into good use. He noted that the items will go a long way in providing comfortable learning environment for the students.

He also thanked the donors for complementing The Gambia government's efforts in providing quality and affordable aducation for Gambians.

Modou Lamin Manjang, secretary general of Nyodema Kaffo, asserted that this was not their first time to render such donations. He assured the school of his organisation's commitment to further support them.

The ceremony was attended by the representative of the Regional Education office, region two, Alkalo of Kassa Kunda Village and the chairman of the school's parent- teacher association. The head girl of the school gave the vote of thanks.
