Man faces attempted murder charge

One Saidou Momodou Cham on Monday appeared  before Senior Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara of the Bundung Magistrates' Court, charge with attempted murder contary to Section 200, laws of The Gambia.

According to the particular of the offence, Saidou Momodou Cham on the 24th February 2008 at Kotu in did attempted to murder one Samba Bah Sey with a cutlass.

When the case was called, the  accused Saidou Momodou Cham inform the court that he wanted to engage the service of a lawyer before taking his plea.

Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara in her ruling, granted the accused a court bail in the sum of D70,000 and with a Gambian surety.

She then adjourned the case to June 11 to allow Mr Cham to engage the services of a lawyer. Police prosecutor sergeant 493 Badjie stood in for the IGP.
