'Dialogue with the people tour' starts today

The 'Dialogue with the people tour' begins today, Monday May 5th 2007.

President Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh,  accompanied by a high-ranking delegation comprising of cabinet ministers, senior government officials and APRC supporters, will begin the tour in Barra, and then visit the Amdalai road project site before proceeding to Kerewan where he will hold a meeting and stop for the night.

On Tuesday May 6th 2008, President Jammeh will depart Kerewan for Chamen where he will visit the Chamen Agricultural Training Center before leaving for Ngayen Sanjal to visit the Health Center and then proceed to Farrafenni to visit the community doctors training center. This will be followed by  a victory celebration and a night stop.

On Wednesday, May 7, 2008, the Gambian leader and delegation will depart Farrafenni for Kaur, hold a political rally in Kaur, proceed to Wassu where he will visit the Women's vegetable garden project before leaving for Janjangbureh to visit the President's rice fields. He will then attend a victory celebration and stop for the night in Janjangbureh.

On Thursday May 8, 2008, the entourage will depart Janjangbureh for Bansang, visit the new police station, depart for Gambisara to hold a meeting before leaving for Basse for a night stop and victory celebration.

On Friday May 9, 2008, President Jammeh and delegation will leave Basse for Koina, hold a meeting before attending Friday prayers and a night stop.

On Saturday May 10, 2008, the Gambian leader and delegation will leave Basse for Sapu, visit the Sapu fish pond, rice fields and the cooperative rice milling machine. The delegation will then proceed to Brikama-ba were they will hold a meeting and then depart for Sapu for a night stop.

On Sunday May 11, 2008, President Jammeh and delegation will depart Sapu for Katamina, visit the water complex facility-Pinai/ Katamina, hold a meeting before departing for Soma to preside over a victory celebration and hold a night stop in Mansakonko.

On Monday may 12, 2008, the President and delegation will leave Mansakonko for Tankular, visit the teachers quarters, hold a meeting, depart Tankular for Kalagi, visit the police station, hold a meeting before departing for Kanilai for a night stop.

On Tuesday May 13, 2008, President Jammeh and delegation will leave Kanilai to visit the Ndemab farm project and hold a meeting. They delegation will then depart Ndemab to visit the Sibanor water pyramid before leaving for Kanilai for a traditional wrestling and a night stop.

On Wednesday May 14, 2008, the Gambian leader will leave Kanilai for Brikama, attend a victory celebration before leaving for Banjul.

On Thursday, May 11, 2008, President Jammeh will leave State House for Kololi, visit the new clinic sponsored by Holland Foundation, depart Kololi for Buffer Zone to attend a victory celebration.

On the final day, Friday May 12, 2008, President Jammeh and delegation will leave the State House for the July 22nd Square in Banjul for a victory celebration to wrap-up the tour.
