Thank you our visionary leader

Editor,

Please, allow me space in your widely read newspaper to applaud His Excellency, the president of the republic of The Gambia, on his recent current tour across the country.

All peace-loving Gambians are really happy with his visionary and forward looking leadership, which has left many people with the conviction that with him at the helm of affairs, the nation will continue in its current progressive path.

It was just a decade  and half ago that he asumed the mantle of power but there ample evidence that within this period to show this government's unrellenting efforts in taking this country foward. The development registered by this government has even surpassed more than what the out Bristish colonial masters did during their over three hundred year's of colonialism. Take, for example, major development projects like road construction, the impressive street lights, numerous schools, just to name but a few. What we have seen so far is a sign of hope and inspiration.

To me, the issue here is what is everybody doing as their individual contribution towards the socio-economic development of the nation. Like it said in the US, let's ask ourselves not what the Gambia can do for us, but what can we do foe the Gambia.

Before putting down my pen, once again, let me take this opportunity to thank the president for a job weldone. I am asking Gambians to increase their prays for the President and his entire entourage as they go on their tour of the country. May Allah grant them safe return.
