Indian community stages cultural night

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations and the High Commission of India to the Gambia, in collaboration the with Indian Community in the Gambia, will this weekend, Saturday June 14, stage a massive  Indian cultural night at the prestigious Jama Hall, Kairaba Beach Hotel, in Kololi.

According to information relayed to Arts and Culture, from within the organisers of this some what rare and significant traditional cultural dance  night, the event will exclusivelly feature ''BHARATNATYAM'' a renowned classical Indian dance performance by Padmashri Saroja VAIDYA  NATHAN et al. The traditional cultural dance night is part of effort meant for the promotion, development and preservation of the spirit of India's cultural heritage in the Gambia, Africa and the world at large, the information asserted.

If the age old adage that 'all works no play makes jack a dull boy' is anything to go by, then the Indian Council for cultural relations and the High Commission of India to the Gambia, in association with the Indian Community in The Gambia are on the right step in the right direction in hosting the forth coming Indian traditional cultural dance  Jamboree.

India is undisputablly a world wide acclaimed bastion of Intellectual and technological knowledge advanced country.
