Africa » Gambia
Thursday, June 19, 2008
Haddy Secka, a 15-year old girl, resident of Ebo Town, Serrekunda, is currently in dire need of assistance to enable her to seek overseas treatment.

Admitted on May, 27, 2006, at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH) in Banjul, the Haddy was said to have been diagnosed with meningitis since her early age. However, according to the medical report, she is also a subject of an epileptic crisis, with some level of mental retardation.

The report further stated that after carefully reviewing her case, the medical board decided to recommend her to undergo overseas treatment for the proper control of the epileptic case.

Speaking to Daily Observer, Dodou S. Secka, father of young Haddy Secka, said he is appealing to Philanthropists and local NGOs, to help his little daughter seek overseas treatment. "Since when she was one month old, her health condition has been declining gradually, and her situation continues to remain threatened. He therefore called on Samaritans to help her undergo medical treatment abroad. If you want to help Haddy Secka call on 9912523.
