Prayers for the Scorpions

Africa » Gambia
Friday, June 20, 2008

Editor,

Kindly allow me space to express my delight and gratitude to the Scorpions of The Gambia. These boys have made us proud. I was watching that Gambia-Senegal encounter from here in Europe, in the midst of many Senegalese brothers. But the total Scorpions domination and the spirit our boys showed, made me the happiest person on the globe that day.

And, in fact, the brilliant Gambia-Algeria encounter which, unfortunately, I couldn't follow live on TV, demonstrated that we are the best in that part of the world...And now, on the eve of the second leg of the Algeria-Gambia match, I am praying to the Almighty to give us victory, Insallah.

Long live the scorpions, long live the smiling coast....cheers.
