Monday, June 23, 2008
Alieu Faal, a Gambian based in Germany, on Friday donated 1504 plastic bowls to SOS Children's Village in Bakoteh, onbehalf of the kinderleicht Company in Germany.

Alieu Faal, who pleged to continue such a gesture  towards SoS children's Village and other institutions, called on donors to support the children's village

In receiving the materials, Mrs Haddy Njie-Touray, Director, of SOS children's Village thanked Mr  Faal for the gesture.

"Our founder the late Dr. Hermann Gmeiner believed that children cannot be helped by fine words but by deeds. When they are hungry , they need bread, not pious sermons by world reformers and your gesture has endorsed this belief. You have joined hands with the six million friends all over the world to give a better social life to children", she concluded.
