Saint George's Guilds, Gambia Project in Denmark recently donated hospital equipment, school furniture, IT equipment, wheel chairs and typewriters, worth over two hundred thousand dalasis at a presentation ceremony held at the Serrekunda General Hospital.

The beneficiary institutions included Farafenni APRC Hospital, Soma Health Centre, Soma Scout Skill Centre, Department of State for Health and Social Welfare, Sanyang Health Centre and Kansala Trust, among others.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Pa Omar Bojang, project co-ordinator of Saint George's Guilds, Gambia Project, expressed delight with the donation. He said the donation was made possible through the support of the retired scouts in Denmark via Mr Karin and Peter Boldsen. He commended the donors for their benevolent and philanthropic gesture.

Receiving the materials on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mustapha Jatta of the Kansala Trust, expressed gratitude to the donors. He promised that the donated items would be put to good use.
