Former Scorpions skipper, Jatto Ceesay, has returned back to Cyprus after a one-year stint in Holland. According to Gambiasports.gm, the 34-year-old midfielder moved back to Cyprus to sign a one-year contract with AEP Paphos, who ply their route in the Cypriot Super League, after being released by the Dutch second division side, FC Omniworld.

The former Wallidan, Willem II Tilburg, Al-Hilal and AEK Larnaca player last starred for Gambia Scorpions in March 2007 when Gambia woefully lost 0-2 to Guinea during the qualifier for Ghana 2008 Nations Cup finals.

Jatto started his professional career with Willem II in Netherlands in 1995. After 8 successful seasons in which he was a fixed value, he left in the summer of 2003, to sign a lucrative deal with Saudi giants, Al-Hilal.

Jatto failed to adapt to life in Asia and he returned back to Willem II in the winter of 2004. After two seasons, Jatto was considered as surplus to requirement and he made a move to Cyprus where he signed for AEK Larnaca.

In the summer of 2007, Jatto was shown the exit door by the Cyprus club, and he eventually decided to return to the Netherlands, to sign for a little-known  division two side, FC Omniworld.
