Toubabo scores yet another double

africa » gambia
Tuesday, July 29, 2008
Mustapha Jarju, commonly known as Toubabo, scored two goals and assisted another, as his new club RAEC Mons beat Division Two side Olympic Charleroi 3-0 on Saturday in a pre-season friendly.

It was Toubabo's seventh goal for Mons and his second brace, as he quickly established himself as the club's goal king ahead of the new league season scheduled to commence in August.

Toubabo opened the scoring in the 33rd minute before doubling the advantage in the 82nd minute. The former Steve Biko and SK Lierse crafted midfielder turned a provider in the stoppage time when he set up forward pair Cavallo to seal the tie at 3-0.

Up next for Toubabo and teammates is a mid-week encounter against the RFC Cork, another Division Two side in the Belgian league.
