As part of preparations marking the forth coming 22nd July anniversary, the management and staff of the newly established Millys night club, a mix cultural centre in the heart of Senegambia, just opposite Taf Bel Hotel, are set to host a weekend dance jamboree which will commence from 25th and run through 27th July, and will feature the famous Super Cayora, the renowned cultural ambassadors in Salza music, along side other sprouting and talented Gambian artists.

According to information reaching Arts and Culture, the event is meant to showcase Gambian people's appreciation for President Jammeh's untiring efforts for his unprecedented efforts towards development of the Gambia within his stay at the helm of the country's affairs.

Jarga Jobe, proprietor and manager of Milly's night club, confirmed the story to the Arts and Culture. According to him, the weekend programme is called  "weekend mak nyi'' meaning weekend for the elderly. This is so because there is no source of entertainment for elders in the Gambia, and Milly''s Night Club  is here to fill that gap."

Commenting on his mission of coming back from europe to invest in the Gambia, the "motherland," Mr Jobe noted that he is responding to the Gambian leader's clarion call for Gambians to invest back home and to contribute towards sustainable socio- economic development. He spoke at length on his personal affections for the Gambian leader's vision for the development of the country, Africa and the world at large.

The prestigious first class Milly's night club, which was officially opened on 24th December 2007, boast of many outstanding modern facilities, such as VIP rest rooms, a Bar/ Restaurant, the biggest and finest dance hall in the Gambia, the best musical sound system and a host of other numerous facilities. Mr Jobe maintained that Milly's is a real cultural hub for all Gambians, both old and young, stressing that the night club is different from other clubs. "We are here to make a difference in the entertainment industry of the country', he said.
