The quarterly session of the Supreme Court of The Gambia rounded off on Friday after the panel had dealt with 11 criminal and civil cases.

The two-week long sitting was presided over by a five-member panel of judges, headed by Chief Justice AK Savage. Most of the cases were duly handled; some were adjourned to the next session, while others were struck out in an array of judgements, notably that of Hamat Bah and Omar Jallow. 

The case involving a legal battle over the Local Government Amendment Act was deferred to the next session, as well as the appeal case of Abdoulie Conteh, the former mayor of KMC.
