Brikama and Bakau set date for Super Cup finals

africa » gambia » brikama
Tuesday, August 12, 2008

Both Brikama and Bakau have set Friday, August 15, as the date for their Super Cup finals - a traditional final that serves as a curtain raiser for the nawettan proper.

The Brikama final will pit last year's league champions, Berewuleng, against the knock-out winners, Daru Gifts, at the Brikama Mini-stadium.

Bakau football will return to normalcy when Jazz FC take on Banda FC. And for the first time in many years, Bakau will be playing their nawettan games at the Independence Stadium as their mini-stadium which is situated at the heart of the town is reported to be unfit to host games.
