Hawks set to export more players

africa » gambia
Friday, August 29, 2008
After the recent sale of teenager Omar Koroma to the English Premier League side, Portsmouth, four more Hawks players could be on their way to playing professional football across Europe.

Hawks head coach, Sang Ndong, has told Gambia Sports Online that Ken Malamin Jammeh, Ebrima Jatta, commonly known as E.J, Pierre Gomez and goalkeeper Robert Badjie (Papis) have all been transfer-listed.

The former Scorpions coach said Ken and Robert have attracted the interests of newly-promoted Israeli club Maccabi Amidar Ramat, while Ebrima Jatta is looking forward to joining Gambian loan signee Omar Koroma at Norwich City. He added that defender Pierre Gomez is also awaiting the response of one of two Spanish clubs in Deportivo La Corona and Cadiz, after a two-week trial in Spain.
