Gambia National Lottery in court

Mr Yunusa Savage, businessman and a clearing agent sued The Gambia National Lottery (GNL) Company Ltd, over the unpaid sum of D424,720, (Four hundred and twenty thousand,seven hundred and twenty dalasis),being the amount he won with the said lottery company.

The palintiff Mr Yunusa Savage is also claiming damages in the sum of D25,000 (twenty five thousand dalasis) for breach of contract between him and the defenadnt company (GNL).

The plaintiff,''Mr Yunusa Savage''informed the court that,he is a regular player of GNL games and that he won the said amount on 8th June 2008 but the company failed to honour his payment.

Mr Savage revealed in the open court that, his ticket number was 171636 and he presented the said ticket to the company the following day he won the game, on the 9th June 2008.

The presiding magistrate Kayode Olajubutu adjourned the case  to 7th August for continuation.
