Travel and the roads

Tuesday, August 05, 2008

We are reporting as independent eye witness information on traveling on our roads (land), sea and air as journeyed by Market Beat anchorman.

We wish to highlight breaches in health and safety rules, conditions of our carriers be it ferries, cars or otherwise, fare variations, anti social behaviours among others.

Last week again we reported on the fading away of the Denton Bridge Check Post and what that means in risk terms to the security of this nation and how its effective operation could reduce the number of accidents and unnecessary waste of life and property by our wreck less stream of drivers now manning most of our van between Banjul and Serrekunda. Please bring back the Vigorous inspection and stopping and search of vehicles on the Banjul-Serrekunda route at Denton Bridge.

However, as at today there is still lack of vigour and intensity as reported at the security check point of Denton Bridge and the problem still persists to the detriment of the nation.
