Alleged murderer remanded

Senior Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara of the Bundung Magistrates Court, yesterday, remanded one Mustapha Gaye who is charged with murder.

According to the facts before the court, Mustapha Gaye murdered one Ansumana Dampha at Charles Bar in Latrikunda Sabiji in the Kanifing Municipality late last year.

Mustapha Gaye's trial sufferred setbacks as he is yet to be represented by a defence counsel.

In her ruling, Magistrate Sillah-Camara said the court will write to the Master of the High Court for Gaye to be provided with legal aid by the state.

She then adjourned the case to August 12. Inspector Saine stood in for the IGP.
