Judgement awaits robber

The criminal case involving one Omar Sonko, who was charged with robbery, is to be decided on Monday 22nd September.  

Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake of the Kanifing Magistrates Court made this pronouncement after the prosecution had established its case beyond reasonable doubt against the accused.

According to he particulars of the case, on 31 August, 2008, at Kanifing, Omar Sonko, unlawfully entered the office of one Ousman Jassey and stole items which included a digital camera valued at D12,000, a cash amount of D11,000 and a plastic bag containing jewelry.  He had earlier on pleaded guilty to the charge preferred against him.
