Tuesday, September 23, 2008
Takaful Insurance Company Limited, the only Islamic insurance company in the country, on Friday made a presentation of cleaning materials to the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital and Ramadan gifts to the Gambia Organisation of the Visually Impaired (GOVI) at a ceremony held at it premises in Banjul.

Presenting the items on behalf of the company, Mr Momodou M Joof, managing director, Takaful Insurance, cited the importance of Ramadan.

According to Mr Joof, the motto of the insurance company is caring and sharing.
He further said that Takaful is the only insurance company in the country that compensates its customers without any complaint or damage to their properties.

Receiving the items on behalf of RVTH and GOVI, Oustass Momodou Sheriff Badjan, 1st vice president of the Supreme Islamic  Council, urged other insurance companies to emulate Takaful Insurance.  He added that the most valued charity is what you give you in the month of Ramadan and the most needed is sugar.
