Ecobank gives to 4 junior savers

In fulfilment of its corporate social responsibilities, Ecobank - The Gambia yesterday presented cheques to four junior savers as part of the September Retail Week raffle draw at a presentation ceremony held at the bank's headquarters along the Kairaba Avenue.

The winners are Sandra C Loungani, a student at Deeper Life Nursery and Primary School, who won an amount of D9,860 which includes (School fees, book bills and other educational requirements for a period of one year); Ousainou Nyassi, a Methodist Academy student, who won D1000 worth of books from Timbooktu bookshop; Pa Modou Mbaye, who got a mobile phone; and Ileanouolwakisu B Basttorun, a resident of Farafenni, who won the fourth prize - D1,000 worth of Dream Park vouchers.

The retail week is a monthly raffle draw that started some months ago within the entire Ecobank Company and was designed to create more awareness of the banks products and services especially the retail products.

"This is like giving back to our community and to the people we serve. We will do [it again] in October and December and each time we do it, our customers will stands the chance to win various prizes," said Lamin Gaye, the bank's head of Corporate Affairs.

He further commended the winners and their parents for choosing to bank with the them and urged them to keep up the good momentum.

For his part, Borry Nyassi, father of one of the beneficiaries commended Ecobank for the generous gesture adding that the bank is doing a great job for the entire Gambian populace.

"Their customer service delivery system is very good and I thank them very much," he said.

Marian Lovett Dao, a Sierra Leone national and mother of the first prize winner expressed gratitude to the entire management of the bank.
