Alhagie Ganyie Touray, the governor of the Central River Region, on behalf of the people of the region, has commended President Alhagie Dr Yahya Jammeh for his good will gesture in the Holy Month of Ramadan, following the president's donation of two thousand bags of sugar to the region.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Observer's Janjangbureh correspondent, the governor said the donation was part of President Jammeh's traditional gift and a reflection of his visionary leadership style. He called on the people of the region to strengthen their unflinching support to the Gambian leader.

He told this reporter that the donated items had already been distributed "equally" to the people in the region, as required.

Bakary Jam Jawo, the chief of Janjangbureh, also had praises for The Gambian leader. Reaffirming his support for President Jammeh, he called on the people to rally behind him, thanking him on behalf of his people for the humanitarian assistance he has been offering Gambians in the course of this Holy Month of Ramadan. He prayed that Allah will shower his blessings on the leadership of the nation.
