4-year-old boy needs urgent overseas treatment

Africa » Gambia
Tuesday, January 24, 2012
Yaya Cessay, a 4-year-old boy and a native of Sami Pachonki in the Central River Region north, is in need of urgent overseas treatment.

According to a medical report issued from the Royal Victoria Teaching hospital (RVTH), Yaya was noted to be restless, with marked deformity of the anterior cervical and thoracic region. The report further  stated that sub-mental region was attached to the extensive thoracic hypertrophic scars, as a result he was unable to move his neck reasonably without moving his trunk.

Ebrima Ceesay, an uncle to Yaya Ceesay said his family is not financially strong to take the patient for treatment overseas. He therefore appealed to the general public, the government, NGOs and the private sector for assistance.

Anyone willing to help can contract the following numbers; 3658204 / 4399802.
