6 ‘vagabonds’ chargedWednesday, April 25, 2012 Six persons -Gibba Jallow, Alpha Jallow, Sheikh Omar Krubally, Ebrima Jallow, Amadou Bangura and Onori Ondine were on Thursday arraigned and charged before Principal Magistrate Foster of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court, for being vagabonds, contrary to Section 167 of the Criminal Code, Laws of The Gambia. According to the particulars of the offence, on or about the 14th March 2012 around the hours of 00:00 to 13:00, at Bakoteh in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused persons were found wandering around the Junction Ba area for illegal or disorderly purpose and do not have any visible means of subsistence and cannot give a good account of themselves. When the charge sheet was read to the accused persons they all pleaded not guilty and were granted bail in the sum of D1, 000 each, with one Gambian surety, who shall deposit his or her identity card with a reachable address.
