A word to my teachers

Africa » Gambia
Thursday, October 08, 2009
Editor,

Please allow me space in your newspaper to commend the teachers of Alieu Badara Jallow Memorial Senior Secondary School for their hard work. We the ex-students of the school particularly those of us who have just sat to the West Africa School Leaving Certificate Examination in the 2008/2009 academic year, received good teaching and as a result we have reaped the benefit of our efforts.

What is outstanding about the results is that all of us gained enrollment into the school . If it were not for the school, we would not have tasted senior secondary education; not to talk of gaining passes or credits in the WASSCE examinations, particularly in English language.

What I want to highlight on behalf of my classmates is that it does not matter which school you attend; but what effort you make to shape your own life. With my little passes in WASSCE, I am set to improve on this to gain the requirements for enrollment into the university in the future. Thank you ABJ Senior Secondary School. We are grateful.
