The Public Relation Officer of the Kanifing Municipal Council, Pa Kaipha Sanyang has urged people to abide by the laws of the Anti-littering Act.

Sanyang made this remarks during an interview with the Daily Observer recently. According to Sanyang, the Green Sea Company will take up the KMC cleaning exercise in few months. He said the company is mobilising its team and will be collecting dirt's around the KMC.

He warned people to keep their environment clean and to distance themselves from dumping refuse from unauthorised places, adding that, large number of people are not complying with the laws and anybody caught, will be taken to court and legal action will be taken against the victim for anti-littering.

Sanyang used the interview to warned the people around Tallinding Kobban, to desist from making that place dirty and not to use it as a dumping site, describing cleanliness as Godliness. He said KMC is doing all it can in making the municipality an enabling environment for living and as such, any body caught dumping refuse at the Tallinding Kobban, will be delt with according to the laws of the Anti-littering laws.
