AFPRC General Hospital in Farafenni boosted

Africa » Gambia
Monday, June 22, 2009
Ram Faal, a native of Farafenni in North Bank region, who is currently residing in England,  on Sunday donated a 40-foot container of valuable items to the AFPRC General Hospital in Farafenni.

The donated items included wheelbarrows, walking sticks,  hospital beds, and second hand clothing. Speaking at  the handing over held at the hospital grounds, the chief executive officer of the hospital, Omar Sey,  thanked Ram Faal for the donation, which he described as a major boost to the hospital as well as the health sector.

Sey urged others to emulate Faal for the development of the health sector. For his part, the communication officer of the Hospital, Sainey Dibba, described the donation as a big plus to the region because the items will not be used  by the Hospital only but also other health centers within the region. Dibba then added that it is the responsibility of every Gambia to contribute in one way or the other to the development of the country.
