Africell heats the market againMonday, July 11, 2011 Barely a month to the Holy month of Ramadan, 2011 and while the president also began his “Dialogue with the people tour” today, The Gambia's leading GSM operator, Africell has taken it upon itself once again to fulfill its corporate social responsibility by ploughing back to its subscribers. Africell convoys are advancing in both the south and north banks of the country and in the Greater Banjul Area to give out up to 5000 prizes to winners in rural Gambia and the Greater Banjul Area. The prizes are part of the company's newly introduced promotion campaign that target over one hundred and fifty villages in rural Gambia and every street in the Greater Banjul Area. Called Africell Xtreme Tour, this is first of it kind in The Gambia and the promotion will last for two months and that duration is expandable depending on the participation of the people in the raffle draws. “We always try to bring satisfaction to our customers throughout the length and breadth of the country. This is why we decided that during the rainy season, we should not sit on our laurels like others do but reach out to our subscribers and give them the much needed support endowed with lots of benefit,” says a senior officer in the Africell company. The rationale behind the whole show, he said, is to help African subscribers across the whole country benefit from what they accrued from them as a way of ploughing back and complementing them for using Africell line. “Helping the community and by ploughing back to them is our corporate social responsibility, we will continue to cherish the satisfaction of our customers and make them happy and this will be a continuous process with African. And we are doing this to surprise our customers. With Africell, we share with our subscribers,” says Karmil. Africell Extreme Tour promotion is structured in a way that every 25 African subscribers will win at the spot from village and street in the country. The tour team consist of two major road shows, in town and in the villages in the upcountry where more than 5000 prizes will be won daily and delivered to the door steps of subscribers. Two trucks are branded and loaded with thousands of prizes such as television sets, DVD sets, Bicycles,Coolers, Generators, mobile phones and many other more items. All that you need to do is to buy a D45 scratch card from any of the Africell agent on the convoy and automatically became part of the winners. Subscribers are reminded that every day an Africell mega truck loaded with thousands of prizes will be touring the Greater Banjul Area and will choose one area where the presentation will take place. Subscribers can particpate by simply buying and recharging D45 scratch card from the available agents on tour who will provide e-voucher and scratch card sales. In addition to that the direct sales team will be selling SIM cards for those who need it and in every location the Africell team use all possible media tools to promote the event and attract people to the site of the presentation and the presentations will be held around 5:00 pm and winners will get their prizes on the spot and 25 winners will be drawn in town and 25 from the village level too in the upcountry, summing up to 50 winners every day. So the subscribers should watch out for the Africell Xtreme tour convoy in their respective areas, buy D45 credit when they spot the convoy from the available Africell agents on the convoy to participate and win.
