Aji Sukai Ndateh memorial SSS receives computers![]() Tuesday, August 04, 2009 Aji Sukai Ndateh Memorial Senior Secondary School for Girls recently benefited from a consignment of computers, courtesy of the Association of Kekchose in France. The presentation ceremony was held at the premises of the school. Haddy Jammeh, principal of Aji Sukai Ndateh Memorial Senior Secondary School for Girls, expressed profound gratitude for the gesture. She noted the coming of the materials will greatly help in enhancing learning process in the school, and that as such they are grateful to the benefactors. Jammeh indicated that the computers will benefit not only the students, but the staff, who will make best use of them in their quest to increase their skills in information technology. The principal described the gesture as "another form of empowering girl's education," in the sense that the students will be exposed to the use of the internet. "The association will be fixing a solar panel which will help in running the computers at a free cost," she stated. Pa Momodou Mbye, president of the Association of Culture of Africans at Mons en Baroeul in France, said the project is a long term one and that its aim is to help under privileged people, the needy, students and others. He disclosed that this donation is their first and that it attempts to connect the students of the school to the whole world. "Being a Gambian by birth has motivated me to develop my nation on behalf of our president, and the president being a hardworking and a good citizen also motivated me to follow his steps in developing our homeland, with the help of Renaud Joseph, president of the Association of Kekchose," he concluded. Other speakers at the occasion included Ebrima Joof and Ebrima E Mbye, all board members of the school. The thanked members of the association for their noble gesture.
