Alleged Palma Rima Beach paedophile charged

One Karamba Darboe was yesterday, February 24th arraigned before the Special Criminal Court in Banjul, presided over by Justice Moses Richards.

The accused is alleged to have had unlawful carnal knowledge of an under-age  girl on the 15th of December 2009, at the Palma Rima Beach in Kotu. When the matter was mentioned for hearing, the accused informed the court of his intention  to hire the services of a legal counsel.

Justice Moses Richards then informed that the notice of hearing will be sent to  Lawyer Edrissa M Sissoho, proposed counsel for the accused, through the clerk of the court. The matter is adjourned to the 17th of March 2010.
