Another Pedophile arraigned before SCCFriday, May 04, 2012 One Wuyeh Keita of Mariama Kunda Village in the West Coast
Region was arraigned before the Special Criminal Court in Banjul, presided over
by Justice Emmanuel Nkea on Rap 4 charge, contrary to Section 122 of the
Criminal Code, Cap 10:01, Vol.111, revised Laws of The Gambia, 2009.
According to the particulars of offence, the accused, Wuyeh Keita was alleged to have had an unlawful carnal knowledge of an Eleven (11) years old girl (name withheld) at Mariama Village in the West Coast Region, sometime in 2010. The accused however pleaded not guilty to the charge and the matter was adjourned to the 15th May, 2012 for hearing, so as to enable the prosecution call its witnesses.
