Lamin Saraba Ceesay who was duly nominated through the APRC party for the position of Councillor for Kudang Ward in the Janjangbureh Area Council has been duly elected to the position unopposed, according to a press release from the Independent Electoral Commission.

The release reads: In accordance with Section 52 of Decree 78 of 1996, Mr Lamin Saraba Ceesay has been duly nominated through the APRC party for the position of councillor for the Kudang Ward in the Janjangbureh Area Council.

In accordance with Section 53(1)a, Alhaji Mustapha L Carayol, chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission hereby declares Mr Lamin Saraba Ceesay unopposed and therefore duly elected to the position of councillor for Kudang ward in the Janjangbureh Area Council this 30th day of April 2009.
