Africa » Gambia
Monday, April 27, 2009
Information reaching the Daily Observer has it that some unidentified person(s), last Thursday night, broke into the office of the finance director of the Brikama Area Council with the intention to steal.

According to our sources, the authorities suspected that the thief was scared off after he had entered the office, but they disclosed that he did not go away with anything. The thief, according to our sources, entered through the roof of the building, ripping off part of the ceiling.

Unconfirmed reports disclosed that a suspect has been arrested and that he is being detained at the Brikama Police Station. But when this reporter visited the police station, he was referred to the station officer who was not available.
