Automotive Department were Friday crowned champions of the Gambia Technical Training Institute (GTTI) Inter-Departmental football competition after Mechanic Engineering Department 4-3 on post-match penalties. The victorious team went home with a trophy and a cash prize of D2000 while the runners-up got a consolation prize of D1500 with a trophy.

Speaking to Observer Sports after the final whistle, the sports minister of GTTI Students Union, Nuha Sanneh a 2nd year student of Computer Science said the competition was meant to bring all students of the Institution under one umbrella.
