The 2009 Bakau nawettan season will start today with the traditional curtain raiser (Super Cup final) that will pit the league champions Linguere against the knock-out winners Ron Mango.

The final, which will pave the way for the start of the nawettan proper on Tuesday, is scheduled to kick-off at 4:30 pm at the Bakau mini-stadium, which will host it's first nawettan game since being abandoned in 2008 season due to its deteriotrating state. This year's nawettan comes on the heels of a dramatic qualifiers that saw three new faces berth place into the nawettan proper.
