Following his recent election victory, the National Assembly member for Banjul Central, Hon. Abdoulie Saine, has thanked the people of his constituency for electing him to represent them at the National Assembly.

Speaking in an interview with the Daily Observer, Saine extended his profound gratitude and appreciation to the Gambian leader, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, for having the trust and confidence in selecting him as the candidate to represent Banjul Central for the second time. He promised to continue to work hard for the progress and development of his constituency and Banjul in general.

Saine also urged the people of Banjul to unite and to set aside political differences and strive to make the city a force to be reckoned with. He also extended his appreciation to the Banjul City Council under the leadership of Mayor Samba Faal; ward councillors; Committee of Banjul Elders under the leadership of Alhaji O.B Conateh, the Banjul Divisional Executive through its chairman, Alhaji Biri Njie; Yai Compins; the Constituency Executive and Campaign Committee; his family; youth groups, and security officers.
