Banjul 'murderer' chargedWednesday, September 02, 2009 Doudou Secka, a juvenile who was said to have stabbed his boss with a knife to death, at Tobacco Road in Banjul on Monday, has been charged with murder, contrary to Section 187 of the Criminal Code, laws of The Gambia. The accused, who was said to be a mechanic and an apprentice to the deceased, is currently helping the police in their investigation. Speaking to journalists at the police headquarters in Banjul, the public relations officer of The Gambia Police Force, ASP Sulayman Secka, confirmed the story, noting that the alleged murderer had a problem with his boss, which compelled him to stab his boss to death. He said when the alleged murderer (Doudou Secka) was searched, the police found 2 knives in his possession. ASP Secka also informed journalists that the deceased is currently at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital mortuary for doctors to conduct a post-mortem. PRO Secka commended one Gorgi Kambi for his hard work in apprehending the accused. He appealed to the general public to be assisting the police in their investigation when such crimes happen as they cannot do it alone, noting that the murder case was witnessed by many people but only two came out to help the police.
