Bank PHB hosts lunch for media - as brand clocks one

Africa » Gambia
Monday, August 10, 2009
Bank PHB, The Gambia, last Friday, hosted a lunch for the Gambian media at Sunset Beach Hotel in Kololi, as part of activities marking the first anniversary of the brand in the country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chucks Melville Chibundu, CEO and managing director of Bank PHB, The Gambia, said the lunch was organised to show appreciation for the good work the media has done for the bank. He said his bank has achieved a lot of positive support from the Gambian media and the general public. "We have a lot to support what President Jammeh is doing in the country and the projection is always very positive for Bank PHB," he said.

The Bank PHB CEO said that his bank wants to renew the legacy of BICI Bank, and move to another level.  He added that his bank has come to stay and that they are grateful for the support they received from the general public. He disclosed their plans to expand to the provinces and to some parts of the Greater Banjul Area.

Augustus Egay Sarr, branch manager, Bank PHB's Old Jeshwang branch, delivered the vote of thanks. At the end of the lunch, the Bank PHB officials presented gifts to the members of the press, as a show of appreciation. The launch was attended by senior officials of the bank and members of the media fraternity.
