Big Smile donates to Bakoteh Annex

The Big Smile, a charitable organisation based in the United Kingdom, on Wednesday donated learning materials worth over one thousand pounds to Bakoteh Annex Lower Basic School at a presentation held at the school ground in Bakoteh.

The donated materials include books, computers, scanners, pens, pencils and papers among others.Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Lamin Sarr, a teacher at the school, commended Saidou Saine and his wife, Dianna Saine, for complementing the efforts of government in the education sector.

He thanked them for their valuable efforts in mobilising resources to assist the government and parents in ensuring that quality education is achieved. According to him, the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has attached great importance to the provision of quality education.

Sarr noted that the donated materials will help the students a lot in improving their education. He assured the donors that the donated materials will be put to good use.Saidou Saine and his wife, Diana, said their aim is to ensure that students continue to have  relevant learning materials.They urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the materials.
