Bravo police

Editor,

On behalf of the community elders of Kololi and on my own humble self, I wish to express my profound gratitude and appreciation to the inspector general of police, Essa Badjie, and his staff for a job well done.

Since the raid  on  Rasta  Garden in Kololi and the eventual closure of the liquor bars, residents around that area are now enjoying a normal and peaceful life.  The task force has not stopped at that but people are witnessing the daily raiding of such kinds of ghettos in the community.   This has to a great extent reduced the menace of drug peddling, prostitution, fighting, alcoholism, and excessive music in the heart of a community that was once a peaceful settlement.

I also want to seize this opportunity to assure the police that the entire community of Kololi is ready to collaborate with them to have an effective police community relationship in order to eliminate all social evils within our community.

Long live the president of the Republic of The Gambia, HE Professor Alh. Dr. Yahya AJJ Jammeh for providing the conducive environment for the police to operate effectively. Long live The Gambia police force. Long live The Gambia, our motherland.
