Brikama nawettan in quarter-final stages

Africa » Gambia
Thursday, October 15, 2009
Brikama nawettan league competition has reached its quarter-final stages after a heated group matches that gathered 24 teams from the Western Region populous town.

Amasa FC, Santo-Su United, Sky Power, Chelsea, Black Pool and Chimu United are among the eight teams that berthed a quarter-final spot at the expense of the likes of popular Orlando FC and Berewuleng United who were all punished for their lackluster display at the early stage.

Meanwhile the quarter-final fixtures have been put on hold until the end of the first round fixtures of the knock-out competition, which started on Wednesday with Santo-Su United beating Black Pool 1-0 to remain in the race for cup double.
