A group of British nationals recently donated medical items to the Serrekunda Hospital at a presentation held at the hospital grounds in Kanifing. The donated items included six blood glucose devices, seven stethoscopes, dressing materials, and oxygen masks, amongst other valuable items.

Presenting the items on behalf of the group, one ofthem, Alec, expressed hope that theywould be of good use to the hospital.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Malang Ndong, the chief executive officer (CEO) of the hospital expressed delight at the gesture. He acknowledged that it will go a long way in helping them to deliver as expected.

For his part, Pateh Saho, the hospital administrator, described the donation as timely, noting that the importance of the items cannot be overemphasised. The other members of the group are Josephine Howe, Elizabeth and Vanessa Arnold.
